New Delhi: Flooding situation has arisen in Delhi after heavy rains. Meanwhile, sad news has come to light. Three students died after water inundated the Rao IS Coaching Center in Old Rajendra, Delhi. Three students drowned in the basement of the coaching building and died.
According to the information, students prepare for the Civil Services Examination at Rao IS Coaching Center in Old Rajendra. Students come here to study even on Saturdays. Due to sudden heavy rain in the area, water seeped into the basement of the coaching center.
Then the water level increased. The students studying here were trapped. More than 10 feet of water had already reached the basement. Local residents said that the basement was flooded due to a burst drain or sewerage. The stream of water was so steep that the disciples were not able to come up.
Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police M Harsh Vardhan said that a person called us at 7 pm and informed us. He said that water had seeped into the basement of the coaching institute, where some students were trapped. Three students drowned when some children were studying in a library in the basement. And many students have also gone afloat. On receiving the news, a team of Delhi Police, and Fire Department reached there and started the rescue operation. Many students are still missing.
The students protested about this incident. A magistrate-level inquiry has been ordered into the incident. Delhi government minister Atishi Marlena said that strict action will be taken against those responsible for such an incident.
