Putin Seeks Peace Talks

President Vladimir Putin has made a big statement for peace talks regarding the Ukraine-Russia war. China, India and Brazil could play mediating roles in potential peace talks over Ukraine, Putin said Thursday. Putin said a preliminary agreement reached between Russian and Ukrainian negotiators during talks in Istanbul in the first week of the war, which was never implemented, could be the basis for the talks. “Our goal is to capture the Donbas region of Ukraine,” he said. Russian troops are gradually pushing Ukrainian troops out of the Kursk region.
