This incredible encounter, captured on video, has the internet buzzing. The footage shows the colossal snake, estimated to be over three meters (10 feet) long and weighing around 30 kilograms (66 pounds), making its way across the highway.
Thankfully, bystanders were quick to react. The video depicts people emerging from their vehicles, not to gawk in fear, but to ensure the safe passage of the reptile. They flagged down oncoming traffic, creating a makeshift corridor for the anaconda to cross.
The internet, unsurprisingly, went wild. The video garnered millions of views, with people both awestruck by the size of the snake and impressed by the bystanders’ respect for the wild animal. Biologist Flavio Terassini weighed in, suggesting the anaconda was likely just trying to find food and ended up on the road.
