Kolkata: Ahead of the Assembly elections in West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress is in for another shock. TMC MP Dinesh Trivedi has reportedly resigned from the Rajya Sabha. Dinesh Trivedi announced his resignation while addressing the Rajya Sabha on Friday. It is also rumored that he may soon join the BJP।
In his resignation letter, Dinesh Trivedi wrote, “It is not possible to see the escalation of violence in Bengal. The team must have certain rules. In that case, the team will be out of breath. Spirit called for his resignation. “I am resigning from the Rajya Sabha because I cannot stand the violence in my own country.” he also said that I am unable to bear various incidents that are happening in West Bengal as well।
According to sources, Dinesh Trivedi had been in constant contact with the BJP last month. During Amit Shah’s visit to Bengal, Dinesh held talks with senior BJP leaders।
Dinesh Trivedi began his term as a Rajya Sabha member in September 2020. However, it is also rumored that he may also contest the assembly elections on behalf of the BJP. But it is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post and this suspence yet to be clrify in further time।
