Athlete Hima Das has been appointed as the DSP of Assam
Police officers from the sports world. Hima Das, India’s youngest and fastest runner-up, has been appointed Deputy Superintendent of Assam Police in the Assam Police Department. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal handed over the appointment letter to Hima on Friday.

The occasion was attended by the Director-General of Assam Police and other senior officials. Hima, 21, said in her response, “I dreamed of becoming a police officer as a child. The dream I had today has come true. ” “I’ve got everything for sports,” she said. So she will continue to work in the police department and continue to try to do better in the game than before.

Also, she said that I will work hard for the betterment of the state. Hima has earned a lot of fame in the field of sports. She won the 2018 IAAF Under-20 World Championships- women’s 400 meters, with a time of 51.46 seconds. she made history by winning gold medals in the 80m relay।
