President donates Rs 5,01,000 as a contribution towards the construction of Ram Temple in UP’s Ayodhya

New Delhi: A fundraising drive for the construction of the Ayodhya Ram temple began on Friday. President Ramnath Kovind has donated Rs 5 lakh to the campaign. Swami Govind Deb Giri Maharaj, Treasurer of the Shriram Janamanbhumi Pilgrimage Area, and Alok Kumar, Chairman of the World Hindu Council, met Presiden. A grant of ₹ 5,00,100 has been received from the President. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has donated Rs 1 lakh।

A few days ago, the Ram Mandir Trust said that the Ram Mandir Fundraising Campaign would be a voluntary donation from the people for the construction of the temple. The World Hindu Council aims to reach out to the 50 crore people of India. The money raised in the campaign will not be called donations. The amount deposited in this campaign will be called the amount of God and it will not be charged to anyone।

Coupons will be printed for those who donate voluntarily. The coupon is Rs 10, Rs 100, and thousands of rupees. Receipts will be issued according to the amount of donation. If all the coupons are distributed, Rs 960 crore will be deposited।

The money will be deposited in the three largest banks in the country, State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, and Bank of Baroda. The amount will be deposited in 22,000 branches of SBI, 14,000 branches of PNB, and 10,000 branches of Bank of Baroda. After receiving the money, a three-member team will go to the nearest branch and deposit it within 48 hours।
